Emergency support available 24/7 for critical issues
Common Upload Issues
Most upload issues can be resolved quickly. Try these solutions before creating a support ticket:
Photos Stuck in "Pending" Status
Solution: Check your internet connection. The app automatically retries uploads every 10 seconds when online.
If you have connectivity, photos will upload automatically - no action needed.
Upload Failed After Multiple Retries
Solution: The system automatically retries up to 5 times. If a photo still fails:
Use the manual retry button in the Queue tab
Try switching between WiFi and cellular data
Move to an area with better signal strength
Check the error message for specific issues
"Upload Timeout" Error
Solution: This is normal on slow connections. The system automatically:
Retries with higher compression (smaller file size)
Uses exponential backoff to avoid overwhelming your connection
Reduces quality progressively (down to 50%) to ensure delivery
Wait for the automatic retry - it usually succeeds within 1-2 attempts.
Uploads Taking Too Long
Solution: Uploads are optimized but speed depends on your connection:
Photos are automatically compressed to ~300-500KB each
Max 2 photos upload concurrently (prevents congestion)
On 4G: ~2-5 seconds per photo
On 3G: ~10-20 seconds per photo
On slow connections: Up to 30 seconds per photo
How to Check Upload Status
Steps:
Open the FireBreak app
Tap the "Queue" tab at the bottom
Check each photo's status:
Pending: Waiting to upload
Uploading: Currently sending (with progress bar)
Uploaded: Successfully delivered
Failed: Error occurred (shows retry count)
